How we compare in Erlangen
Against the established local school's standard course. More hours, fewer weeks, a lower price per hour — and an online component they don't offer.
Figures for the comparable standard beginner course. Our per-hour advantage comes from the online component and the faster pace. Prices as published; check current terms before you enrol.

Common questions
Do I need any German to start?
No. A1.1 is for complete beginners. You start from zero, together with everyone else in the group.
What level will I reach?
One module takes you from zero to A1.1 (or A1.1 to A1.2). You get a certificate stating the level you completed.
What if fewer than 6 people sign up?
The course needs at least 6 students to run. If it doesn't reach 6, it doesn't open and you get a full refund — you risk nothing by requesting a place early.
When and how do I pay?
You request a place first — no payment up front. We send an invoice once the course is confirmed to run. There is no registration fee.
Is the coursebook included in the price?
No. We teach from Hueber Momente and you need your own copy. You can buy it from us so you have the right edition on day one, or get it yourself if you prefer.
Where exactly are the classes?
Obere Karlstraße 13, in central Erlangen — directly opposite the FAU university library, a short walk from campus and well connected by bus.
Can I get a confirmation for my visa or residence?
Yes. We issue an official confirmation for visa or residence purposes for €110, as an optional service — no hidden fee.
